Anna Baksheeva is a Russian born violinist and a violin instructor. Since 2010 she has been Ottawa resident and active member of music teaching and performing community. Her mother is a theatre professor in Russia and her father is a clarinet teacher in Germany. Ms.Baksheeva has been playing violin since age 5. She received her formal music education in Russia (Vladivostok special music school, St-Petersburg Music College under Conservatory). She came to North America in 2005 and completed her BA degree in Violin Performance at University of Georgia with Russian-Armenian violin professor Levon Ambartsumian. In 2016 Ms. Baksheeva completed her Masters Degree in violin performance at University of Ottawa under famous violin professor Yehonathan Berick.
Ms. Baksheeva has been a very active chamber and solo musician of many styles of music in Atlanta Georgia and in greater Ottawa, Ontario area. She is playing over 100 concerts a year and working with many Ottawa professional musicians like Andrew Mah, Andrey Krylov, Wayne Irschick, Ioulia Blinova, Jean-Francois Marquis, Keren Mugdus, Katherine Eddleman, Frederick Lacroix. Her most regular chamber groups include: Trio Pléiade, Duo with guitar, piano or flute.
Ms. Baksheeva is also a certified early childhood music educator and enjoys teaching baby and toddler music classes in OFA academy.
